ROOSEVELT LOFTS
ATLANTA, GA

Roosevelt High School was built in 1924 as the girls high school for the city of Atlanta. It was redeveloped to include 90 upscale apartment units in a variety of floor plans. This property is located in the Grant Park Historic District at 745 Rosalia Street (an area of Atlanta that has seen tremendous restoration and revitalization), and is just minutes away from downtown Atlanta. The property was renovated in 1989 and has won numerous awards, including the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s “Best New Development” award.

The community sits on 6.2 acres with spectacular landscaping that creates a park-like atmosphere. The utmost care was taken to preserve the original character of the building by restoring the foyer entrance with terrazzo marble floors and exposing the third floor rotunda’s thirty-foot dome (originally the school’s assembly room). A wide variety of amenities are provided, including a controlled access gate system, swimming pool and sundeck, laundry facility and fitness room. All units come with European style kitchen cabinets, dishwashers, mini-blinds and living room ceiling fans.

December 1, 1995 saw the opening of the newly renovated gymnasium building’s 29 dramatic loft apartments. The lofts range in size from 650 square feet to 2,000 square feet, and retain the building’s nostalgic feel with sealed concrete floors, original window openings and, in some select units, the original rubber floor of the gymnasium.
